A good man goes to war spoiler-free review

There is a lot of stuff going on in:  A good man goes to war. And we finally know who River Song is! The Doctor is strong and powerful in this funny, cheeky, touching and action packed episode. Amazing acting, great writing and well written characters made this midseason finale amazing! Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill were on their best, and so was Steven Moffet! Doctor who will be back in the autumn, the title is a little bit strange, it’s called: Let’s kill Hitler. But I’m excited to find out what is going to happen next so I can’t wait!

The Rebel Flesh + The Almost People- Spoiler free review

This two-parter of doctor who disappointed me a little, maybe the problem is that the previous episodes were amazing, this was pretty average. The first episode was a little bit boring and there wasn’t much going on, it just was a way to get to know the characters and the clones. The second episode was way better. The idea of clones is very cool maybe they could have done more with it. But this is doctor who so that doesn’t mean that it’s horrible, it is enjoyable and The Almost People is I think very important for the upcoming episode: A good man goes to war.  The ending was exciting and most promising for the upcoming episode. Episodes like this, don’t really stand out, but it is just fun to watch and with a cliff-hanger like this it’s thrilling! We’re a step closer to the mid series finale and I can’t wait!

Doctor who The doctors wife review/recap, SPOILERS!!

SPOILER FREE review The Doctor's Wife!

The episode is set on a junkyard planet with four people living on it. but the doctor Amy and Rory are in danger, and what is wrong with the TARDIS? There is a lot of stuff going on in this episode but Neil Gaiman is an amazing writer so that isn’t a problem. This episode is spooky, but knowing Neil Gaiman’s style that was going to happen.  I would love it if they would bring Neil Gaiman back for a future episode because this was great! There was one thing I didn’t like and that was that in the and the CGI looked fake but it wasn’t going on for that long so that is not a huge problem. Overall this episode was great! I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!

The Doctor's wife trailer

Spoiler free review The curse of the black spot.

If you want to read my previous reviews of this season of Doctor who: Episode 1 is here, and episode 2 is here.

The crew of a pirate ship is cursed, as a Siren haunts them. Every man on the ship with a black spot on there hand is cursed. It’s a known theme but the curse of the black spot has a nice sci-fi twist to it. The episode was enjoyable to watch, who doesn’t love pirates? Hugh Bonneville gives an amazing performance and Lily Cole is a beautiful spooky siren. The episode is not as confusing as the previous two episodes and I personally think not as scary either (it is spooky but not terrifying). It is a nice pirate story with humour action and some touching moments. The episode was written by Steve Thompson and he has done an amazing job! I’m excited to see what’s coming next! Arrrrrr!

Day of the moon review, SPOILERS!!!

if you haven't seen the episode don't watch it! you can read a spoiler free review here.

SPOILER FREE review Day of the moon

This episode is a part of a two-parter you can read my review for The impossible astronaut here. Day of the moon was a little less confusing than the impossible astronaut. It was well written and fun to watch. Again maybe to scary for children. I think this story will be a huge factor in the rest of this series' story-arc during the fact that it leaves you with a lot of questions. The Silence (the new Aliens) have amazing abilities I hope that we’ll see more of them in the upcoming years. I have the idea that this season of doctor who will be scarier than ever which is great for the older viewers but watch out for nightmares with younger kids. Doctor who is going into a new direction: the Steven Moffet-era has begon. I know he already wrote and produced series 5 but this is really his style! Maybe something a lot of fans are going to have to get used to. But one thing is for sure: it will blow your mind.

My Doctor Who review/recap! SPOILERS!!

hope you like it, pleas subscribe to my youtube channel: Doctors and bowties

SPOILER FREE review The Impossible Astronaut

This episode is an amazing episode if you love Steven Moffet’s writing. One problem: for me it didn’t have the Doctor Who ‘vibe’ to it. It is something so different than any other Doctor Who episodes. The story is complicated which can be difficult for kids to understand. And it was going super fast. If this is the first Doctor Who episode you’ll see it will be to difficult to understand. (my tip watch season 5 first) The new monsters, the Silence are great and scary, maybe to scary for kids. The time is great, America: 1969. This episode makes you want to see part 2, I hope that one will have a Doctor Who vibe to it. Overall the story was great Steven Moffet loves to play with time, and he is good at it. Doctor who is back and I can’t wait to see what will come next!

My tribute to Elisabeth Sladen

Elisabeth Sladen past away at age 63. She was the amazing actress behind Sarah Jane Smith.
I’m not a Whovian for that long but when I first saw Elisabeth on Doctor Who I was intrigued by her. She had a certain beauty about her, a certain youth. I think it’s safe to say that every Whovian loves Sarah Jane and Elisabeth. She is my favourite companion and the favourite companion of many.  Back in the seventies kids grew up with her in doctor who. The new generation love her for the Sarah Jane Adventures. She will be missed by many generations.  She’ll always be a great part of the Doctor Who legacy. My deepest sympathy to her family.
